tried to add an attachment to a post, got an error:

The requested file upload failed because suitable permissions have not been enabled on the 'uploads' directory. Please contact the board administrator and inform them of this error.

You will get that msg depending on the type of pic you are trying to upload. eg Dynamic pics are server side which is why they cant be uploaded elsewhere even though they appear to be normal gifs.

in both cases above it occured when trying to upload a pic (jpg or gif) off my own computer.
