Hi all,
I've been reading up on all the posts trying to find answers on getting fully immunized before I begin this process so that I don't have to fork out the big buxx in the states - and lo and behold I come across yet another term... can someone tell me what a vaccination supplement is?
Also,
Is this a complete list of all the shots that I need through the K-1 to permanent residency process?
Mumps
Measles
Rubella
Polio
Tetanus
Diphtheria toxoids
Pertussis
Influenza type B
Hepatitis B"
And --- are any of these not mandatory? I set a dr's appointment for myself in a week and a half and I just want to make sure tht I get everything I need.
Thanks
Mo

I had my vac sheet from when I was born until now. I did not need any shots. The only one I was close to was tetanus. It is not listed on that link but I had it in 97 and he said I was 1 yr off from needing it.

if you were born and raised in Canada and went to school in Canada your whole life, chances are that you Do Not need any more vaccinations. Perhaps only a Tetanus booster if you have not had one in the past 10 years.
Every one of those vaccinations required for US immigration are also required to be able to go to school in Canada, so you've probably already had them all (that are age appropriate).
Have your doctor draw blood to run titre tests to check for immunities. You can take the results of that to the panel physician and that will be perfectly acceptable.
My doctor would not even jab me with anything until first doing the titre to see if I actually needed any of them. Which I did not.
