Got my RFE in the mail also, it's going back to Vermont later today by Fedex overnight.

bill got his 10 mins ago.....will be mailing back today...very straight forward.....

I may have missed it..... But do you have to sign and date your RFE? This info will be very helpful for those who are not at their home address to receive the RFE. Thanks.

hi, is there a part on the form where it says that someone else can fill it out, on behalf of the petitioner?Do you think I could? (I am the beneficiary) My fiance is deployed right now and won't be able to get any mail until he gets back to the States in august...(

I see nothing along those lines, Not sure what to say on that note it looks as if he would have to be the one to sign it..Sorry

I just got mine today too! It's going back to them tomorrow, express mail!

It might be worth mentioning that on the form itself, it says that it takes a minimum of two weeks for them to process it, and that if you have not heard from them within 60 days, you should contact them. I have no idea how long it will take, but that appears to lay out some parameters.

tracked reciept for rfe going back to vermont....they recieved it this morning...

I just looked a few mins agao but nothing recieved as of yet...your only 20 mins away i would have just went and placed it in the mailbox and saved a few bucks

Congrats to those who recieved and good job getting them back there quick. I hope ours comes today. I too am interested in the next step billsgirl so I will be watching for the posts here.

I would think it would go to noa2 then vsc then embassy..not sure of the case number......hopefully we will find out soon!! Im in Pennsylvania, so it would be a hike for me

RFE recieved today. Kinda surprised they did not include a self addressed envelope with some type of way of forwarding the RFE to the right "department". With all the mail they will be receiving I hope none of these will get lost in the shuffle.

One can only hope as fast as they get the RFE's back the quicker they will try to clear them out of their office to make way for all the other paperwork they will be recieveing. Here's hoping.

I wish I had my paperwork going to vermont, you guys have a much better time frame then the rest of us. Glad to see at least some people are flying through the process.. Best of luck.

so bummed...didn't get my RFE today even though they sent it Wed...and I'm just in Massachusetts! well, what's another day...i suppose...

They usually take 2-3 days to actually post it after they say they sent it.

Just got my RFE today- and even though the emailed notice said 6/19, it was actually mailed on the 20th. On another note, I am unsure about one thing and hope someone can clarify for me. On the RFE is the definition of an International Marriage Broker, so if a couple met on a site but never paid for a membership or anything like that, would that fall under the definition of Marriage Broker?

If no money was exchanged then I believe you are exempt from anwsering "yes" to the question of meeting via an IMB.

It sounds as though you met through a pay site but somehow averted paying for it.
Remember though, at the interview the question of how you met will probably be asked and I assume they will have your RFE form so some extra explaining on the interview might be necessary.

Awwwww, I want our RFE and it back now! I hate when I know something is coming and needs to be done and I am dependant on the post office. Argh!

My RFE response was received today by Vermont and they already updated my status

On June 23, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case. My attorney received my RFE in the mail today. I have to stop by Monday to fill it out. I know, I know I can kick my self in the butt for hiring one I didn’t know about VJ when I started my journey. Oh well you live and learn

Got my RFE in the mail tonight. Yes, TONIGHT! I am drunk!
Went to work, had my Greek lesson for 2 hours and met a good friend for dinner and drinks.
I staggered home with a cup of coffee in one hand, my brief case slung over one shoulder and a bag of books with umbrella hanging from one arm. Got in the front door and found my RFE. Yes, it's the IMBRA one, in blue, no return envelope. Mailed 6/20/06 stamp.
Want to know how we met (if with a marriage broker), if I have been convicted of a felony, blah, blah, blah.
Yes I will sign it in the morning, make a copy and send it off tomorrow.
Happy to have this part done.
Still waiting for the other papers for the 1st RFE.
Starting to doubt my relationship.
Don;t know if I can handle my fiance's lack of responsibility to do his part in the process.
I have been waiting 2 months for his papers and I keep getting "relax, it;s in the mail, don;t stress:.
I am very angry with him right now.

It looks like Vermont is sending RFEs to people with cases which were not sent to Embassies. I think the cases returned from embassies are not getting them yet,
