And that after faxes, multiple calls and request to resend the confirmation notice.
It took three weeks after they claimed they sent it for me to get the confirmation.
Another VJer who lives on the opposite coast with the same dates received the confirmation two [yes 2] days after the 5/30 date while I living just south of NH had to bug the goof out of them.
Let's just hope they did send the petition to the Embassy from which no word yet.
So, the point is if you do not get your letter from the NVC saying they sent your visa petition to the appropriate Embassy, then call and request the letter be resent AND fax your pertinent info such as Case Number given you by the NVC and your USCIS Service center Receipt Number and your Approval Date and your Name and the Beneficiary's Name. Keep bugging them and you "might" get it.
GL and hope this helps!

hi i also filed a K-1 fiancee peition and we have the similiar time line and service center. My fiancee is from the United Kingdom, but in Hong Kong currently for awhile.
I mailed my petition to the california service center and the receipt date on my NOA1 is 3/1/06 and notice date is 3/7/06. my NOA2 was approved by california uscis on 5/15/06 and they said that my petition was on its way to the NVC. its already 6/24/06 and no word from the NVC?
I called the NVC and they said they have no record of it being there. This was from speaking to an operator at the NVC. So I contacted the US embassy in Hong Kong and they also have no record of it.
so i am asking, who or where do i go and ask for where my petition is?
I called the USCIS and all they can give me is that the IMBRA is going on and that my petition was approved and but they cant tell me where it is?
Can you give me some advice on how or where did you ask to find out that the NVC had received and processed your petition?
