Hello,

Would it be useful to create cover sheets for all the mail we will send to the NVC? Or should we just use the documents they provide, without creating any additional documents / cover sheets?

Thanks
Isabel

hy there,

Have you read James shortcuts yet? wink.gif You will find them in this forum. On every cover sheet is the barcode for your case. So you should either create them yourself with the shortcuts or use the cover sheets they provide. Additional cover sheets are not really required.

I will create the cover sheets and the barcodes as well as soon as I know my case number. yes.gif and I hope that will speed up the progress kicking.gif

You're talking about coversheets such as the one you wrote for your petition, right?

or something like that? I've seen people here say they've had success both ways, so I don't think you'll get in trouble for not providing one. If you feel safer sending one (perhaps a complicated I-864 or something), then I don't see how they can penalize you for trying to help them. My stuff is pretty straightforward, so I'm not planning on adding any more papers to the mix. You'll definitely need to return the coversheet they send (or you generate) with the barcode, but adding a coversheet of your own seems to be optional. Not a clear cut answer, but I hope this helps. ttyl,

Okay, thanks!

I'm going to be writing a cover letter today, based on the template we used for the I-129F and the I-130. At the very least it'll give my husband a "checklist" of what needs to be included in the envelope. luv.gif

Too bad we didn't get the I-129F in a few days sooner, eh? wink.gif

phirephly & DORMANTROOT are right with us with the I-130 too.

Well, since you're already halfway through the NVC, it would seem like there's a fair chance that even if your K3 hadn't been killed, it may not have been of much help wink.gif Mine survived but I'm not sure if it's going to make any difference at all (but if it does, you'll know).

Yup, i'm sitting right around the same dates... though you're trying to close that gap, aren't you? wink.gif I know that DORMANTROOT is staying right on top of things too good.gif ttyl,

Our K3 would've gone through a lot faster because there's very little wait for an interview in Vancouver but a long one for Montreal. But anyway, I'm not worrying about it.

A cover letter is not required, but there is nothing wrong, if you submit one.

Just admitting that I'm impatient will probably jinx our case. unsure.gif

I hope we all make it through the NVC process ASAP. wink.gif
