Full Version: How fast is Canada Post XpressMail really?

Our visa was issued Wednesday (finally! Two weeks after our Vancouver interview!) and hit the Vancouver post office Thursday afternoon, according to XpressMail tracking. Scott needs his passport and visa Tuesday morning if he's going to make the one-way flight that we foolishly scheduled before the interview occurred.

That leaves Monday.

How reliable is XpressMail? Does mail travel over the weekend? (I know it isn't delivered. smile.gif) Is his visa going to get there Monday as estimated?

I will have pulled out all my hair by the time he gets here, I'm afraid.

I sent Montréal my Packet 4 stuff via Xpresspost from Toronto on a Monday, and it was delivered the next day. Not sure if Xpresspost is the same as XpressMail...? o.O;;

Yes, that's the one. smile.gif I hope it's similarly quick from Vancouver to Saskatoon!

Thanks for the reassurance!

Sometimes, and I don't know about where you live, you can call them and tell them you will come to THEM to pick it up if you need it that day.
For instance, it may be in a proecssing station close to you waiting for completion of the delivery, however you may be able to just go to their processing station and get it.

My friend did that here in Toronto. She drove about an hour away to Canada Posts big distribution centre because she needed that piece of mail that day. They did it for her no prob.

I'd inquire as to that if you are really worried.

I'm sure it'll be there though. Have faith!
