Wow, no Friday thread yet so I'll take the initiative. The power went out here about 6:30 am and an alarm in the complex was blaring for the 30 minutes it was out. Unfortunately I fell back to sleep so I'm running a bit late this morning. I plan to finish my cup of coffee and go for my lake walk. Then back infront of the employment sites. I will email the hospital today with an enthusiastic inquiry (ok begging) on the position they dangled infront of my face on Monday.

Another week down, another week closer. I'm kind of white knuckling at this point. I know it's only almost 3 months for us since the interview, but its becoming more difficult to ignore those feelings of frustration and longing. I have a feeling this stupid IMBRA thing is going to have rumblings for ALL of us who are still waiting in some way or another. We may not need to worry about the form, but there is always a trickle down in the bureaucracy when these things are done.

There's hope! I got a call yesterday about a position but I didn't hear the phone ringing and the woman left a message - I called back and got her machine. She's in CA so I will wait until noon today and then try her again. Inshallah this will be something! We are going to my dad's in Upper Michigan this afternoon and we have our first dr. appt. this afternoon. Maybe we'll get to hear the baby's heartbeat! Alright well I am off to take the tyke to daycare ( he was up at 6 this morning...arghhh) See you gals later. I'll let you know if I hear anything. hey yall! yep its friday. great grand, another weekend coming yippy....do i sound excited? lol. well good news is im down to 103 days til i get a plane and head home for awhile, and im seriously needing it more and more everyday............George and i are fighting AGAIN, no suprise ehhh, he didnt even say goodbye to me when he left for work, so i guess its time i give him a taste of his own medicine, im not giving in first this time, nooooway!

anyway besides that we had been doing real good. yesterday he had the day off and we went to Jounieh and met a couple. The woman is American, from CT she has been here for 4mths, and they are about 6wks pg. she is real nice and hopefully we will get to know each other more. it was great to finally see and talk with an american!!

Guess I won't get a package to you but perhaps you can still meet up w/ Said and bring something back for me.... my stuff to him is not as important, I can put it on the "slow boat" I hope you have a fabulous time.... sounds wonderful that you will get to spend some time in France together!!!! I wish Said and I could do that sometime. Inch'allah...

As for me & my Friday.... I'm so freakin' tired!!!! woke up at 3:30am to take my friend to the airport - yes, I'm a good friend Somewhat busy at work, but I'm cutting out a little early in hopes of taking a nap b4 I have to drive an hour to dance tonite.... pffffffffft..... I'm sleepy!!!!

Is this day ever going to end. another 20 minutes before I can leave work. I am so bored.

I'm still in the running for the position. They said they should be able to have a decision first part of next week. I kind of "padded the truth" a bit. I told them I was really interest in the position, but had a few other opportunities open up so I was hoping to hear what they decided as soon as possible. (I wish.) I never feel good about fibbing, but I'm really desperate for a paycheck.

SO glad that is Friday! This is the only day of the week that I really get to spend hours with Hasan on the computer when I am at home and he is at home! So yeah I get to stay up until 3am but it si so worth it. I am also counting down the time before I can leave work. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
