What the others said..........
You can`t just go by what it says online. There was an application I sent in...an I-130 and I-485. For nearly 10 months I heard not a peep from USCIS. Nothing.......
Last I heard from them was an RFE last August. I checked online often. I contacted USCIS by phone......sent in letters....contacted senatorial offices....etc..
In other words. I went overboard trying to find out what happened to it. No one could tell me. I thought it was lost.
Then all of a sudden, about 3 weeks ago.....sure enough....in the mail, out of the blue, I get this appointment letter for my wife to have her biometrics done in a few days.
After all that agony and effort to try and find out what happened to it...and thinking it was lost . (at one point..I even sent in a few notarized letters to have it withdrawn because of some mistakes.....long story....)
But the point is......as others have stated. Do not get too dejected by what you see online or if you do not hear from them for a while. Because chances are, there is a good possibility it is just being processed as normal.
If it helps to calm your nerves, contact whom you can about it....to be safe, as I did.
The USCIS ``dis``-organization is not quite as good about these things as you think. There is still hope.....
