It's most likely much too soon for anything to have happened with the RFEs. Vermont has started to post on some K1 applicant's online case status that their RFE has been mailed out, but that makes sense since the people who had approved petitions returned from the foreign consulate were all from Vermont.
The other touches for K1s came from the big transfer of the bulk of petitions originally filed in Nebraska. There were touches when they announced the transfers two weeks ago and then again yesteday and today when they had apparently gotten around to opening the mail.
It doesn't seem likely that anyone will actually receive RFEs in the next few days - since they are mailing out 10,000 of them (that figure apparently only reflects the K1 applicants) it's unlikely that they will all go in the mail at once. Hopefully by next week . . . fingers crossed

I did get a touch June 13th, and I don't think it had to do with the posting of my check since it cleared my bank account June 8th.
I'm not getting too excited yet though.

They don't typically send you an email unless there's something to report (i.e., petition approved, etc.)

It sure looks like the touches are in preparation to send out the RFEs - that's what's happening with the K1s anyway and since everything indicates K3s are affected (not saying I agree with it), it seems to be the case.
BTW, they don't generally send emails unless something big happens like they transferred your case or actually approved you. Otherwise, it's just change of status updates on the online site.

Just a hunch..... after USCIS telling me to wait until Sept. 13 (over 180 days processing) to call back and after having my Congressman's office telling me not to bother with the I-129f any longer, I get the feeling they have fleeced us all out of $170. Hey...those folks can take CR1.....etc....

I agree, my case has not been touched since they received it - once to change my address and that's it. At least Vermont and Nebraska are doing something (well they are ***touching***), CSC is still and quiet.
The funniest thing is we can complaint all we want it's not going to change the fact that we have to wait....according to the timeline stats my i-130 should be approved at the end of July and it seems like that might get my hubbie to US right before my Birthday, which is great!
It seems like K3 was a waste of money and time, and veeery nerve-racking if I may add.
Good luck to all , don't give up hope!
They may turn around ang give K3 and K1 priority in few weeks because of the hold up. I am sure they are aware it is a problem.
Maybe "no news" is " good news".

I got married because I love him...
No process will get in our way! So we have to wait a few months longer. No big deal. It's not going to change anything except maybe my address and his flight date.
However, if I keep tracking approved I-130's with no responses about I-129F, I'm thinking of legal guidance. Can't stand around and see everyone ripped off on false hope.

thats right. I still dont understand why K3 are being affected or is effected by the imbra. They are already married. If it effects k3, then imbra should(not that i want it to) also do the same for I-130 visas.

That makes sense, hafiz30. Only engaged couples would fall under IMBRA's intent to warn a woman about a potentially abusive future husband. But since we K3s use the same form as engaged couples, we affected. How? I'm not certain. Hopefully, we'll get a simple RFE, answer a few questions and be on our way. But I don't see any K3s getting RFEs yet...

There's always the bizarre possibility that K3s get nothing, since as you pointed out, it's too late to warn anyone anyway. In another thread, someone said they were told by an official on the phone that K3s would not be affected. Misinformation? Wishful thinking? Or simply that future K3s will have to answer a question about brokers?

http://travel.state.gov/visa/laws/telegram...grams_2927.htmlHad this to say about K3.
NVC was able to run a data base list of all petitions
meeting these criteria. We have notified those
posts that have received these cases and given them the
case numbers and further instructions. All cases on this
list, even those with firm appointments or in 221(g)
status, are to be delayed while the petition is returned
for further information. No cases in issued status will
be recalled. If posts have any question about the correct
priority date of the K1 case, they should use the priority
date (receipt date) written or stamped on the original
petition.
DHS has not requested return of K3 or K4 I-129F
petitions. Why the K3's are taking longer, or seemingly froze also...maybe they changed their minds?
We all know our government keeps its word. *dodges large puddle of sarcassm*

Note that DHS cannot recall a petition from DoS if it has not yet approved the petition and sent it over to DoS.
Did the NBC approve any I-129f petitions from 6 March or later? I suspect that their backlog was big enough that they did not. My sense is that the VSC (and its customers) was a victim of the VSCs prompt processing - they were into the March 6 and later petitions before they realized that IMBRA implementation date had arrived.

Eva, like you, many are waiting to see if the other shoe falls, and K3s get an RFE. A few philosophers around here have pointed out the logical inconsistencies of sending or not sending it to K3s and CR-1s. It's still a crapshoot.
Since we're in this wacky world of waiting, and government doesn't always act logically, I'll bet USCIS is literal about their mandate to "capture" those who pay brokers for mail order brides. Which is to say, I believe we won't be getting anything. After all, we're well beyond being brides. The wait has turned us into hags!
But it's early days and they could have a surprise for us, so hang in there and distract yourself until we know for sure. How about reading an 800-page summer novel?

My I130 got quite a few touched ( as yo can see from my siggy), but no news by smail mail or email.

If you believe the government owes you something because you filed, or because you're married, or because you pay taxes, you're setting yourself up for disappointed. Better to wait in line patiently, have no expectations, and bring a good book to read.
