Hey y'all smile.gif - I was reading abt the IMBRA thing and how many/most cases filed after 3/6/06 will be sent back requesting further evidence until the new apps come out....
I have not gotten one yet, nor has there been *any* activity on our case since 5/4/06 (NOA1). Now, I'm not really expecting to hear much about NOA2 or being *touched* (I love that term - heeheehee) til late July or early August.... but should I have heard something by now if they needed further evidence?
I'm just fretting a bit..... someone pls help calm my nerves!!!
Thanks!
Noura

No one has the RFE yet, but it's coming. You'll get yours.

According to the article Captain Ewok has linked on the top of the forum a few days back, they were expecting to send the RFEs out "immediately." And, knowing USCIS, "immediately" really means "oh, a few weeks, maybe a month or so whistling.gif"

Just another bump in the road.

dang! not really what i'm wanting to hear.... yes, i read the article (sucks big rocks) -
so, any ideas on what they're gonna be asking for w/ the RFE's? How can I start preparing for this so we can get it taken care of ASAP? Many thanks for advice.... crying.gif

From what I understand, it's just a form that asks if you met through an international marriage broker and if you have a criminal record.

well, I just re-read it again.... criminal history, eh? what if there isn't one? does this mean we now have to supply police report sooner, rather than later? w/ translation, I suppose....
what else?????? pint of blood maybe? toenail clippings?

Unless I'm misunderstanding the article, I think they are referring to the petitioner's criminal history. (Don't they already check all this stuff anyway?)

The NEW I-129f form has been put on the USCIS website. Here is the link:

http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/newforms.htm

There is a new section added to the I-129f that wasn't on the form we sent in. I'm guessing that we will be asked to answer those questions in the RFE that is being issued 'immediately'.

That is my guess. Seems like a lot of extra waiting for a few questions that they want us to answer. And WHY wouldn't these things be found in any ordinary background checks that they must do anyway?

...must learn patience...must learn patience...must learn patience...I'M SICK OF BEING PATIENT!!!!!!!!!!!!! ranting33va.gif

Hey Noura... Unfortunately I think it's gonna be a while for your NOA2... more than 3 months for sure because they are probably going to address the cases starting at 3/6 then move forward and you filed in May so I would think you would be later down the line but I guess we'll see.....

It seems like since they recalled everything or whatever that people with 3/6 dates will go first an so on. It should be interesting to see how long the wait is gonna be but I wouldn't get my hopes up for July if I were you. I know that is not helpful but sometimes being more realistic helps! (for me at least)

Hang in there girl!

Is this for only fiance visas or for K-3s also? My I-129F was received on May 22 and touched on June 1 but I haven't received anything or heard anything about it.

Why don't you throw some toenail clippings in with the RFE when you send it back and see what happens?

So sorry, my friend Noura, that you are having to wait so long for your noa2. It is hard for me to even imagine how you feel. I hope for you and many others, that you get the RFE's quickly and can procede with the process. I am hoping that you will only have to answer 2 questions. "Did you meet through a marriage broker?" yes or no. "Do you have a criminal history?" yes or no. If you chose yes, provide a criminal history.
If you chose no, slap a stamp on that sucker and send it back. It will be a longer process for the ones that have a history I am sure. And for the ones that do have a criminal history, they may expect more RFE's for further evidence. It would be so cool if they could come up with something electronic and you can file it online, but that is just hopeful thinking. Noura, please be patient. Hang in there. I pray you have the noa2 soon. good.gif

Sharon, on the toenail clippings, polished or no? laughing.gif

Alhamdoulillah, no criminal history, no marriage broker.... yeah, online filing/updating would be a wonderful idea.... guess they prolly didn't think of that one....

Hey Noura it's only been a month and a half since your NOA1 soooo I think that could be good news maybe they will have things straightened out and in 2 months you will be approved!
