Ever pictured yourself an Olympic gold medalist??? In what sport, and why?

I would do figure skating. I have watched it ever since I was a child and am absolutely in awe of the talent and the grace. Its very beautiful to watch and I am sure its an amazing feeling to actually perform.

I picked skating because it combines a whole bunch of things I don't possess (skill, grace, balance) and if you're gonna dream, dream big.



Now, being a writer, if snowbarding was the sport, that might be reasonable too.

Yeah, it's figure skating for me too...but in reality I think I could do curling anyway...I mean...sweep a teapot across ice..... *runs from Mand...curling expert!*

In reality with the body I've got going on right now.......curling.

snowbarding sounds interesting. I'd like to see someone hurtling down a slope at hig speed whilst trying to seranade the crowd on a lyre.

I love the Winter Olympics!!!! I would compete in either Biathlon (that's what I voted for) or skijumping. I am a huge fan of both of them. When my hubby visited last year we went to a Biathlon world cup competition and it was amazing. Skijumping is awesome as well! I guess I like it because I am German and Biathlon and Skijumping is really big there.

"Gayass" eh? Well I'm a girl so I get to vote for figure skating My 2nd choice would've been ski jumping which is very popular where I come from.

I love the idea of carrying a gun, but hate cross-country skiing, so no biathlon. I'll have to stick with the Canadian dream and vote for curling. Curlers can carry guns too, right?

Was going to vote figure skating but Im scared of heights so the lifts etc would be out, so I went for speed skating instead.

ooooooooooo.......Ice Hockey.......just cos I loved playing Hockey as a gal and quite fancy the challenge of doing it on ice....so to speak...

Yeah, it's pretty funny. Any name that's not English makes them twist their tongues. Yeah, Germany used to be good when there was the old Martin Schmitt and Sven Hannawald... but the storm has calmed down and I guess it's time for other ski jumpers now.

I'm surprised that figure skating is ahead by so much. It must be that more women are responding to this poll!

My answer is skiing, downhill rocks. However, upon contemplation, I would pick ice hockey as that would make it possible to continue my sport for a living, and if good enough, be in the NHL and make butt loads of money.

I picked Luge. It looks like a lot of fun, sledding down some tube really fast. My second choice would be ski jumping, and third would be speed skating, which is the only one of the three sports I've actually done.

If you win hte figure skating gold, you pretty much win the lottery when it comes to sponsorship deals and a job for life in the Ice Capades. So yeah, figure skating.

I picked snowbarding but it would specifically be Snowboard Cross, that looks like tons of fun! Racing down a course against 3 others, swish swoosh fall down

Definately Bobsled! Since watching Cool Runnings its always been a dream of mine. It looks soooo much fun!

Just remember not to do a hot dog stunt on your last jump, when you are miles ahead of the competition, and then fall....losing your gold medal...

I picked figure skating too as I've always admired the grace and fluidity of the performers. Now if I can only stay up on the ice when we go ice skating

(side note: my husband says I would do well at figure skating because he thinks I'm very graceful .. hahaha ... I think my "gracefulness" flees at the sight of ice skates)

ICE HOCKEY!!! played in high school, and come on, what girl wouldnt want to hold on to some HOT goodlooking SWEATY guy while fighting over a puck, giving you a reason at some point to hit someone!! i need anger management (and my fiance )

Figure skating.....because it is something that even in my dream I would not be able to do.
