.....Have a great and wonderful day on Saturday!
.....How's everyone else doing? Me, I am fine. I have a part-time job at a realtor's, but I am still looking for a fulltime job. No news on my AOS yet. My case status does say they touched it on April 6, but it doesn't say what they did though.....sigh.....
Take care all!

Erm, it really isn't that bad up there in the north, they do know that they are in the 21st century now

. At least we do have lots of space up there since no-one really wants to live there

I have to say I actually miss my hometown and everything else I was so used to. Don't get me wrong, I like where I am now, but it is crowded here and way too much traffic and not much real erm, nature here since everything that has a few trees on it is turned into apartment complexes or condo's or parking lots.

I found the North NL area really beautiful, it's so relaxing to see all the green fields and space. I live in a busy city here, concrete + pollution everywhere, and everytime I visit Pieter it's like a spa to the soul

Didn't wanna come back to this crowded noisy craziness

I can imagine that you would miss it, it's really beautiful up there.

I'm glad that you love where you live now, I love green areas too! I am from a rural area in Puerto Rico and when I moved to this concrete monster I had to adapt to the noise + concrete

and to the winter, I have not been able to get used to it!

Hello Jac,
How is everything going at Maui?

Here @ Kansas City Missouri has been a heck of a week with the weather, one day is warm and sunny and the next rainy and so cold.... Cannot wait for the summer heat to arrive!
Me, just counting the days until Pieter arrives, now just two weeks left (and my apartment still looks the same LOL) I am sure that when there is only one week for him to be here, I'll do everything

Did you already filed for AOS?
Hope everyone else is doing fine,

Here it is getting way to warm for my taste already. But then again, I cant stand the heat to much ;-) Ok I know i moved to the wrong place.
I filled in my part of the paperwork. Andrew is going to finish up his part tomorrow. Then i need to get some nice pics of my self and copy some stuff and them i will sent it out next week.

Just a quick update - Harry and I sent in our AOS paperwork last Saturday. Now we're back in the waiting game. I'm somewhat hoping we get his NOA for it quickly, as summer school starts soon. I was hoping that he'd get a chance to start going to school this summer. The woman I spoke to at the community college says that they give the 'in district' rates if we can proove we've filed for the green card (ie NOA from the AOS). Since classes start in late May, we'd have to get it soon to have any chance of him getting registered. Oh wells...

Glad to hear that things are moving forward for people. Quick update Wilmot and I sent in our AOS and EAD April 14th and received both of our noa 1 April 16th. He had his biometrics on May 18th. So we are were Em and Ed are just waiting.
Sorry I haven't been posting, but I had my laptop out of order for about 4 months. I should be able to check in and send updates from this point forward.
I think Wilmot is really sick of not working. He is still volunteering 3 nights a week, but he really would like to be working.

Hey Jac!
I did spring cleaning in record time, two days before he arrived

But looked all neat and now it's messy again with him unpacking stuff. He was soooo good, brought only 2 suitcases! Wow. I think the same will be with my wedding plans, we are so slow.......

Hi Rhonda

Good to hear things are moving along for you guys! I kinda now how Wilmot must feel right now. Even though I have a part-time job going on, I rather wish I was working full-time. I've been applying for jobs like crazy, but sofar no luck

.
Hi Edie

.....Good to hear you and Pieter are now finally together! Are you guys plainning a big wedding or just a small one? Good luck with all the preparations for it! As for the reason why it takes so long for a decision on my AOS.....I wish I knew. The last time they worked on in was some time in April.....unfortunatly it doesn't say what it was they did.....I've bene reading lots of info on here and I guess I must be stuck in some sort of name check. From what I've read if you have a first or last name that is very common the name chec can take quite a while and my (new) last name is a name that atleast 4 million + other Americans have.....

I am doing ok I guess.
We started all over again with our visa journey.
Some assh*le at CSC made a major mistake and denied our application.
my fiance contacted the USCIS several times since we got the denial, but the only thing they had to say was: "We are sorry for you, there is nothing we can do for you, you just have to refile now."
We lost almost 3 months because of some dumbass that doesn't know what he is doing!!!

Hi everyone! Hope you are all doing great!!!

I would like to ask you guys some AOS questions since I am getting ready to submit, and I am such a newbie

But since you guys went to the same A'dam Embassy, maybe you can help me a bit or point me where to go?

Here we go:
For the vaccination document, they gave Pieter a copy of a form with a foto on it along with the X-Ray. It's not the I-693 supplemental form, it's something very similar called "Vaccination Document Worksheet". Is that good or I need the actual I-693?
The other concern: His birth certificate is in Dutch. Could he translate and certify that he is able to? Or do we need an official translation.....

Sorry with so many questions but I am reading all these guides and could not figuure these things out!

I have pretty much everything else except those 2 things!
Wish you the best luck in your journeys

Hugs,
edie
