Mosquito ringtone link -
>>
http://graphics.nytimes.com/packages/audio...10_RINGTONE.mp3The mosquito ringtone is based on the anti-loitering system that was talked about last year... kids have started using it on their cellphones so they can get messages during school hours without adults hearing...
I'm 35 and I have good hearing at high frequencies - it hurt my ears! The cats ignored it though...

Yeah, hubby and I could both hear it. We're 26 and 30. ... Funny that it was used to keep kids from loitering.

After playing the "link", my kids 7 and 12 came running in from the other room and said, "what was that???"
Honestly , I barely even heard it!
Funny, but we were just talking about it at my son's basketball game this morning!

oh man that's an annoying noise. And my volumn was way down.
As for Nietzsche(my cat) i don't know if he could hear, he's lying in my bed and he doesn't speak portuguese nor english, so he couldn't answer me when i asked him if he could hear

. But i guess he couldn't, well at least he didn't move, altho he never moves when he hears the tv or the sound up

I could hear it, but it was a faint buzz. I told my kids to come in here that are 11 and 5 and they both started screaming "what is that, turn it off!" Now I have a new weapon to keep them out of my room!

I could hear it, I would not want to listen to it all day but it did not make my ears bleed.
My kids heard it and were like what is that? They did not like it.
I am 33.

I'm 40, and I could barely hear a faint, high-pitched whine with my speakers turned all the way up...

35 heard it but wasn't annoying. My 16 year old yelled from his room "what the hell is that high pitched noise", then came out and "turn that off it is hurting my eyes". Weird

LOL I was in my bedroom bringing up that site. My DH and I could not hear anything - he's 56 and I'm 47. The cat sitting here was kind of looking around.
I went into the tv room where my son and his friend (both 15 years old were sitting) and told them to come into my bedroom to hear the mosquito ringtone. Both said, "Holy sh*t, we wondered what that noise was. They had turned off the video game they were playing, turned off the tv and my son's friend who had his IPOD going turned that off to pinpoint where the noise was coming from. Both said it was very loud and hurting their ears.

I can hear it. It hurts my ears a little, it's certainly not pleasant, but it's not particularly loud. I'm almost 28.
G. is also almost 28 (his birthday is Friday, and he's a month older than me) and he can't hear it.
I couldn't get the cats to stay in the living room long enough to listen. Neither of them appreciated being woken up from their naps in the bedrooms.

I think we must all be deaf in my house. Husband and I (both 40) heard a little squeak in the middle and that's it. The dog and 3 cats didn't react at all!
