We filed for the K-3 Visa and we are already married.

So far we have been approved the I-130 and have been stuck waiting for a NOA2 for our I-129F petition. (like most folk here) mad.gif

TODAY... I just got a packet in the mail to submit the Affidavid of Support (I-864) Fee Bill. I am totally lost here. sad.gif

We have not recieved our NOA2 from the I-129F yet. I do not remember reading anything about this step. & can't seem to find any information about this.

Anybody got a clue? whistling.gif

Thanks
ariest
AOS fee bill came as a next step after your I-130 approval, and is unrelated to I-129f. You should proceed if you want to follow immigrant visa route instead of waiting for I-129f approval.

Thanks for the reply... we are reading other posts as well. Things are starting to come together. Just trying to decide if we should persue the CR-1 or the K-3 at this point. Since we are already married, we just want to do whatever will get us together faster! (like most everyone)

We will be proceeding with the CR1 process ASAP (our I-130 is approved and recently called to find out it has been entered into the system). We still have our I-129F working, but has been stalled since March 27th --- so, we will work both the K3 and CR1 at the same time....

Tomorrow I will begin the shortcut's for the CR1 immigrant visa --- started today by sending my wife the DS3032 form. Once I have that in my hands the real work begins on the CR1....

...sounds like that is what we are gonna go for too j. I'm sending the AOS bill fee off tomorrow. I gather I need to send my hubby (the applicant, in the UK) the DS-3032 form that the NVC sent me in this AOS Bill Fee? huh.gif

Seems like the more timelines I read and research, the CR-1 is moving faster than the K-3 at this time. Anybody have any thoughts about this, please feel free to throw them out. wink.gif

I am in the same boat so we decided to pursue the CR1 route. From my understanding, the I129F is pretty much stagnant. My wife and I do not want to wait for eternity or until the gov't here decides what they are doing.

amen Jerry...

...more fees, more paperwork sad.gif *deep sigh*

But a lifetime with the wonderful man I married, nothing compares! I will do whatever I need to do! crying.gif

Apply for the Cr-1 at the same time, insurance one will always beat the other. yes.gif Especially with the whole IMBRA thing going on never know how long that could hold up the K-3. If the K-3 gets there first then you can always go back for the CR-1 interview like most on here have done. Lots of luck in your journey, hope it is a speedy one!

The DS3032 is a "fillable" .pdf file ---- I basically sent the link to my wife (in Colombia) for her to fill out, print, sign, and send back to me FedEx....

Also -- have you read through the "shortcuts" thread for the CR1???? I will be following it to the tee, but you are a bit ahead of us on timeline (we have not recieved any AOS bill fee just yet)...

We emailed the DS-3032 info, advice from the Timesavers shortcuts. Hope to hear from them in a couple days smile.gif

The AOS BILL FEE was accepted and signed for at noon today! Not bad since I just sent it off yesterday. good.gif

Our I-129 F is still untouched since March 15th, 2006... blink.gif When I called to check on the status Monday, she couldn't tell me why there was such a long wait. But that we "should" hear from them this week or next. biggrin.gif

But not to bother calling back to check on it until another 30 days have passed mad.gif Even though this was the end of the so called, "60-90 day" wait. Seems like everyone's I-129F is being held up. reading.gif

ClockWatch2.gif more waiting...

Butting in here....

Following the CR-1 visa is just a *different way* to pay the fees that you would be paying eventually with the K-3 visa.
The CR-1 is less overall hassle & completes the process. The K-3 is a temporary holding spot while the immigrant *waits* for the CR-1.
Does that help?

Can't believe I'm writing this - but we're trying to slow down the I-130 abit as we only have one copy of original documents and are now waiting for our interview date in Montreal.

Don't want to apply for another set of docs. because they would take alot of time to get here and Mtl interview would probably be over by the time I gathered 2nd copies.

We'll take our time sending in the I-864 and DS 230 unfortunatly.

Didn't think to order 2 sets of docs and K-3 was supposed to be faster (???)

We plan on going back to embassy for I-130 interview. Hopefully the K3 interview date will be in August.

I don't understand.. you need two sets of originals?

Don't know why you would want to slow down the immigrant visa process, but there is much to learn...

Probably because one set needs to be sent to the NVC (for CR-1 for Canadians) and the other's needed for the K3 interview?
