Hello,
Re and I had pictures taken about a month after our wedding. We just got them, so I thought I would share some of them with those of you who went through this whole process with us. We are doing well, though we are both extremely busy. My job is at the point where my work is soon due, so I'm working late. As for Re, he got his driver's learner's permit yesterday (yay!) and is starting a training school for CNA next week while still working full time. We are hoping to save money to start our own family soon.
This visa process was long, but worth it in the end. My family is much more accepting now that they have met Re and have been able to sit and talk with him. As for me, I'm just happy to be able to come home at night to find him sitting there waiting for me (sometimes even with food on the stove!).
For those of you who are just starting this process, my advice is short. There are always people who are prejudice. People don't like the color of your skin or the color of your significant other's. People don't like your country of origin or your significant other's. People don't like the circumstances under which you met. Someone always has a sob story to prevent you from tripping on the same stone that they did. Listen to them, and then follow your own path. Don't let someone else make your decisions.
Anyway, if you look at my pictures on VJ you will find us.
I wish you all the best.
Kanyiri
