Hi...

Our case was received in London last week, and apart from scheduling the medical-we are 100% ready with regard to required docs.

Should I send London a ds-2001, or do they generate that for a CR1?

Also, when would be a good time to send them a personal letter via e-mail with our intent to proceed and that we have all we need on hand to proceed?

Thanks in advance. I haven't seen many CR1's going through there lately, and would be grateful for any info.

I don't believe CR1s are different in the sense that you should receive packet 3 from the consulate, which includes a checklist that you mail back to them (once you have completed the items on the checklist).

Anyone please correct me if I am wrong about this for CR1s.

For CR1 all you will get from the embassy is pack 4 which is interview letter, and instructions nothing to mail back, you can also email London to see if they have scheduled you an interview date!! good.gif

So no need to send the rediness for interview form!! no0pb.gif

Too slow to edit my own post, but see if the guide from this site about CR1s helps:

But from that guide, it says "A few weeks after you have received your last Notice of Action indicating the approval and forwarding of your I-130 application to the NVC, the NVC will send your relative a packet of forms that you and your relative must fill out before your relative can be given an interview date with a consulate abroad."
