Carlos got the one that says "not valid for employment without DHS authorization" Can we go to SS office and ask for a new one that doesnt have that on it now, or do we need to wait till he gets his green card? I hope that on the card doesnt confuse any employers, that's all. We got the SS card without any problems, so it's not that big of a inconvenience to go down there and wait for an hour or so.

His EAD is DHS,s authorization to work. But if it makes You feel better just apply for another SS card.

He can't get the conditions removed from the SSN card until he has proof of permanant resident status, i.e. I-551 stamp or card.
