I really want to thank those of you who took the time to respond to my post, I know what I am going to do now. So, again thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I am up early, restless and pacing the floor as usual. I thought I'd come in here to the computer. I am reading certain posts in the forum about the AOS, and the lady who said her husband is here but cant work yet because he doesn't have a work permit.... When do you know to file for certain forms, at what point in the process? I am especially concerned about the work permit. Do youhave to have the Visa first? This is all my husband talks about is coming home and working so I dont have to work. I have already told him I am going to keep a job, I've been in my field for 7 years. If anything, I'll work part-time and FINALLY go back to school. We sort of have arrangements or plans on how things will go. He is so certain that he will be able to come here and work. He keeps saying, "No problem honey, I will have work as soon as I come, sure!" I keep asking him to check out this website, this way he can stay abreast of the things that are going on and how long everything will take. It only took 2 months for his sister to come and the laws changed soon after that. I think she has been here 5 years. Lucky for them, huh? What laws, I have no idea.

Anyway, I would like for things to be continuos if possible. By that I mean, if I can file certain forms without having to wait on a previous form to be recevied like the i-130 and the 129f, then I would really like to know.

Can you point me to the website, if such one exists??

Thanx again and everyone take care!!!!

If he is coming on a K1 then he should expect to have about 3 months wait until he can work.... you file for AOS, EAD and AP at the same time.... as soon as possible after your wedding... the EAD seems to be taking 90 days+ at the moment and until he has the EAD he can not work....

Hope this helps...

Kezzie, sorry for mispelling ur name, rose.gif. Thanx 4 the info. Like I was saying tho, I filed for the k-3 visa 4 my husband, is there a website that lays it out for us? When do I file these forms? Do I wait on the NOA2, (I think that's what it's called) from the I-129? I'm sure if these forms are costly there will be a delay. sad.gif I have just moved trying to get thing together for my husband when he comes. I think I know where to go to see the fees for the forms. I'm going to check that out now. But thank you again, ok? Very much............

On a K3 it is the same you apply for EAD with AOS form and it takes the same amount of time... you can go to the USCIS website to see the current fees http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/index.htm

for what to file look at the guides at the top of the forum for AOS/K3 that lays it all out what you do and what you file....
