I have with me my passport my AP my working card any thing else . Im travelling alone and my husband wont be with me so thats why im a bit nervous ... also has anyone ever flown united airlines ? im a bit worried flying them as i never have before i always flew with qantas .. id appreciate your answers people as they are always fantastic

I usually fly BA or United, Denver is a major hub for United. I have 120,000 United Air Miles and am still living.
I have also gone through SFO with AP.
I used the non US line, on the basis I was not a USC or LPR, I was sent to the US line as my wife had our sole Customs form, you can ask the usually ladies that are checking you as you queue, start in the others line.
The first line officer will send you to the right to Secondary. It did strike me as being a bit unsecure as it seemed to me that you could get past without being interviewed.
Anyway hand in your documents, they will keep one and return the other stamped along with your passport, back out the same way, turn right and get your luggage. P
Pretty quick when I went through, there was quite an interesting interview that was going on, will never find out how it finished.
You re-check your baggage on the other side of customs. Also very easy and quick.
