Has this happened to anyone else?

I arrived on my K1 and applied for a SSN before we got married. When the card was sent to me, there was nothing on it saying 'authorized to work with INS approval'. Was this a mistake?

clare,

Yes, it was a mistake. It happens from time to time.

It does not mean that you are authorized to work though. You still need the EAD or the green card.
