Did you get EAD @ Infopass same day or have to wait in mail? How long is interm EAD good for?

Just a little over 5 months...still not bad. Did you choose not to use Infopass for EAD or was that option not available last year?
luv2teach77
I don't beleive that my timeline says it but I did request an interim EAD via an Infopass appointment on the 92nd day after my NOA date at the office in St. Louis but was denied it and told that the St. Louis office didn't start the 90 day count until the date of biometrics.

In the end I had to get Govenor Shimkus' office involved. Even with their help it still took until Mid October for my EAD to be approved.

So a week after your biometrics you received EAD...do you think your attempt for interim EAD had anything to do with it? Wondering why it took so long after your approval (November) for you to receive card (December)...but I guess there is no method to their madness.

Our biometrics were done in Oakland, CA

The reason it took so long was that I never got a biometrics appointment for the EAD. I did get an appointment for AOS biometrics, where they took both sets (for AOS and EAD), and I received the card soon afterwards.

I was majorly pissed off at the bastards in the DO, who did not even want to help me with a bio appointment.

Same day at infopass. It is good for eight months from the date of issue. (That's the max that's allowed for an interim, but I'm not sure if all DO's will issue it for such a long period. I have a feeling that when my husband receives his actual EAD, the expiration date will be approximately the same as on his interim.)

ETA: At the infopass, we showed him my husband's biometrics appointment notice to verify that his biometrics were done. Sounds like this may have been important after reading KC's post.

I got both of mine on the same day (next Friday)

Also, you can see my timeline.
I did get my EAD at an infopass appointment a few days before the 90 days (from sending documents).
Interim EAD is good for 8 months, some places will count them from the day the interim EAD was granted, others from when your I-94 was due (such was my case).
After emailing my DO and calling the USCIS infoline, my EAD and AP arrived just after a week or so.

I have question about Interim EAD - do you know if can it be obtained before 90th day - for example about 70th or 80th day after notice date?

The timeline for my husband's EAD wasnt too bad, we were luckier than many members here.

It's in my signature, but to sum up:
* March 10 - NOA date
* March 30 - Biometrics completed
* May 20 - EAD card in the mail

We went through Missouri Service Center like most others.
