Hello. Quick question for you all. I thought I read somewhere that once you apply for the K-3 your spouse can not visit america until its approved. Is this true? We were planning a visit for the holidays and if that is the case, must rearrange.
Thanks as always!

Yes he/she can visit. Lots do. Some have problems but many don't seem to. There is no 100% guarantee. Have your spouse take any documentation with them so if needed at POE can show they will be returning home......letter from employer, lease, things like that.

Have a read here.......It is a very good discussion on this issue.

Curious though. You have asked about K-3 yet under your ID says K-1??

timeline.gif so we are able to get an idea of where you are up to. It does help. It also helps with the statistics on VJ so all benefit.

I am currently in the US on a tourist visa and we have applied for the K3. I usually get some hassle when entering but this time they were as nice as pie. I dont know if being newlyweds helped or not but the immigration officer was asking me about our wedding and our upcoming honeymoon and then told me that in the future my husband and I can come through together.

I have since changed my flight and am now here untill August. I believe some people do have problems and reading about it on here i was really worrid i maybe denied entry. my thoughts to you is just be honest in your intent, they will sense straight away if you have something to hide.
Good luck!
