Kristine, my fiance from Philippines, has received her interview appointment date! It's August 10, 2006 at 6:30 am. I received this information by calling NVC at (202) 663-1225, so all of you who want a quicker update of interview dates, call that number. They are very helpful! Since I cannot be with her during interview, I am calling on all those who have interview dates around that same date to reply to this topic to possibly help her get through this with some friendly visajourney support. Also, I have a question for those who have been through the interview already, can she choose to pick up the visa instead of having it delivered? Anyway, thanks fellow visajourney members for all your support and encouragement!

Visas cannot be picked up. They are all delivered except maybe for very few exceptional emergency cases.

Not sure if it's the same number for CR-IR but you may want to try and call them just the same. They might be able to give you the correct number to call if they cannot give you the info you need.

hello there. when is the best time to call the DOS #(202) 663-1225 to ask about the interview date? NVC yahoo mail gave me the notice that they already have forwarded my k1 paperworks last MAY 17, 2005. too bad my telephone line cannot connect to embassy's call center with #1-909-101-7878. thank you.

I called to see how Rowena's packet was going and had recieved the great news of it being sent out and her interview date is Aug. 10 also. She is also planing on going to the july 19 medical check up. You can pick up a copy of your packet at St Lukes if you do not get it before taking your medical.

I called and my fiancee's interview is not yet sceduled. .Since we are about a month behind those sceduled for Aug. 10, I will assume ours will be around the second week of september.

I called the number, but they have this long list of options and the Interview date isn't among them. Should I talk to a visa specialist to get that information?

If you called (202) 663-1225, press 1,0,0 (don't wait for the recording to finish) to get a Visa Specialist and she'd be able to tell you if an interview has been scheduled.

not a dumb question, of course. Off the top of my head, I'm not sure, but in the back of my mind, it seems like one of the types of interviews is scheduled by the NVC and the other is scheduled by the embassy (so the NVC wouldn't have info about it). It sounds like it's the nonimmigrant visas that get scheduled by NVC so if I'm remembering correctly that they're different, then the immigrant ones (IR/CR) would get scheduled at the embassy. Now, I could be *completely* off here, just seems like I saw that somewhere. You could always just give 'em a ring and ask. Hopefully someone can either confirm this or comment about how full of it i am ttyl,

Glad to hear that her interview date is on August 10. I scheduled on August 24. I am not sure if she can pick up the visa.
