is there anywhere on the net i can get a copy of my wife's interview letter? our date is set for OCT 1st and we still have not received the letter. she needs it to visit VFS in india n get her medical done as well. i cant find anywhere on consulate's site for a copy of the letter, i also checked travel.state.gov. please help...
btw i was able to find my NVC case # , @ mumbai's visa site

Call NVC because I think they may be able to assist you some. They have not been great at something. But, I think they can help with the medical. Or even better yet call the embassy you have the appointment with.

NVC is NO help at all...

the same prob with me i still dont have the appointment letter. Ive been calling our embassy here but its hard to contact the call center

It took one month for my wife to receive her appointment letter and she lives in Serbia. I received mine about 15 days after the NVC said it was mailed, I live in the US. Patience is a virtue and ALL of us on this site should receive metals of honor for being as patient as we must be.

I am still waiting for my interview letter too. Interview date is Oct. 17th. As per NVC, they mailed it on 9/11/08.

no letter in the mail today, i guess i'll wait till tomorrow n see if i get it if not then my wife will go n pick up a copy at the consulate. good luck to everyone whose waiting for the letter.

I called NVC and they told me to wait upto 2-4 weeks for the letter. My husband's interview is 10/9/2008 and that is going to be late. She told me that it was sent out on monday, I will check tomorrow. Hopefully by next week at the latest. Good luck to you.

have you received your appointment letter? My letter was issued from NVC a day after yours(12th Sept) and my wife has the same interview date as urs (1st Oct). I am still waiting for her interview letter so she can get her medical done.

Have you heard about this VFS thing? Do we need to submit documents to them again? I dont understand this since we have already submitted everything to NVC.

ya wtf is this VFS? n what docs? all my wife's originals were submitted to NVC....

I joined one thread about waiting for the interview letter and now this one--just to find out when folks receive their letters. We are waiting for ours as well.

I have called NVC and was told that our letter was mailed Monday the same day that the interview was scheduled. She rep said "oh it should be arriving any day." All of NVC's mailings to me always took over a week and this mail appears to be arriving at the same slow rate...I am hoping it arrives soon so that we can also plan accordingly for the medical review.

Good luck to those who have only a few days to go before their interviews. I hope the letters arrive very soon! Please post when you all start receiving them...

We got our letter last Saturday in mail..thank god for that! Also, wanted to share with you that VFS seems to be up to date with information regarding NVC. Atleast in Delhi, we only had to submit the fees needed for courier service.

Email to the consulate with a request to email u the instructions and ur interview letter ..through postal u will never receive it ... coz i had the same experience
u got to sumbit the documents in VFS 10 days before ... u can call VFS office or consulate for teh information and tell them ur case number .. goodluck

FYI: Our interview letter arrived in the mail this morning, one week after interview date was scheduled.
