Hello, did any of you submit a K1 application for your fiance who was divorced?

In the main K-1 forum it states that someone got an RFE for having to prove the person on the divorce decree was the same as the person on the application. The were the petitioner, but still, did any of you send more evidence your Russian fiance was the person on the divorce decree? A birth certificate or a passport copy?

chuck, I am sending my application today with the divorce certificate of my fiancee; I do not have a copy of her passport to prove identy-that seems to be a bit extreme as they will check passport at embassy-but you never know about the government... I wish you good luck with your application.

I sent a certified copy as well as a certified translation of my Fiance's divorce decree. She had changed her
name back to her maiden name so we sent a certified copy and translation of the name change as well. I had no problems and our petition was approved Feb 2. It probably would not hurt to include a simple photo copy of her passport just in case.

Divorced or not, I would strongly recommend sending a copy of your fiancee's passport and birth certificate (with translation) with your K1 packet.

Thanks for the advice and replies. I went ahead and included her birth certificate copy and translation. I sent the application today.
