Hi everyone, well im back from Accra Ghana a (married woman), YAY!!! My husband Tijani & I, had a wonderful month together. now im ready and preparing for the long haul. Im assembling my I-130, packet, but i have question about the amount of evidence needed to prove that our marriage is legitimate.

i have a notorized affidavit from my daughter who attended the wedding, our marriage certificate, wedding invitation, and wedding photos. do you think this will be enough. I will be sending out my packet this week, thanks so much. Van

congrats on ur wedding..
i wud get another affidavit..they ask for two affidavits..
and yeah, dont forget the G-325a signed by ur husband and urself, ur passport size photos, ur birth certificate or ur naturalization certificate and a check for $355...i think that shud b good...

forgot to add...
i hope that ur daughter is not a minor...she has to be atleast 18 before making that affidavit (as much as i understand) someone else here can validate this.

also, i am not sure if ur daughter can be the one to give u this affidavit...i think it has to be someone else like ur aunt or uncle or cousins or a friend...mayb i am wrong...i had two affidavits, one from my cousin and the other one from my wife's friend.

Some people only send a copy of their marriage certificate and don't have any issues. I only sent two affidavits, one from my sister and one from my mother and that was that. I think you have pretty good evidence so far.

thanks for responding and the info. ive also include landline and cell phone bills for the past YEAR. a lot of PAPER, very thick file. Is this too much? im confused on whether or not i should include this now with the I-130 application or submit it later during the interview process. has anyone else out there submitted phone bills as evidence of marital relationship with their I-130 & if so, how far back did you go with your phone bills. Thanks so much. Van.
