I just wanted to keep ya'll up to date....Lucas received the packet 3 today from the consulate in Rio...Our NOA2 notice was April 11th.....and the wait begins AGAIN....too much waiting *geesh*

Hey, thanks for the info and congratulations. We had fingerprints done in Rio last Tuesday and are waiting for the results. So you are a bit ahead of us. Good luck. I hope the wait for the interview date is short.

Yah!, Atleast we know that things are still happening even with the new IMBRA law. Thanks for all the "congrads"!!! Everyone here is so nice and such a wonderful support group!!! I hope it doesn't take much longer from here, but I hear the wait for an interview can be a while...we will see....to be continuted....

Hey, I was in one of the cases returned to USCIS by Rio´s Consulate after having my interview approved!

I can assure you things are gonna happen in a glance for you now!

Try and return them packet 3 as soon as you can!
And then, don´t wait for packet 3 to find out your interview date.

3 days after I returned my p.3 I called them and got an interview date!

So I´d recommend you to do that asap and also schedule a medical apointment!

so did the return of your application back to the USCIS service center hava any effect on the approval? or can you still follow through and get your visa regardless of the recall?

I am thinking maybe packet 3 was posted prior to the recalling, meaning it shouldn´t be sent back until further notice from the Embassy?

I have no idea about what they´re doing wth my package 3, since I sent them before they sent my application back to the USA.

I also received p.4 yesterday, but when they called me to tell me my interview was canceled, she said I should ignore p.4

Wow! That just confusing, I'm sorry....sounds to me like USCIS recalled your petition after the Consulate in Rio had sent out the packet 3 to you......USCIS is more than likely going to do more security checks and then resend your petition back to the consulate....to sum up, it sounds like your having to do some back-peddaling......that stinks, but hopefully it won't be too much longer than you originally thought!

With the exception of the day of the interview we found the Rio consulate to move quickly on processing the paper work.
