Is it possible to ship things over in advance, as it will take 8 weeks to arrive in the US i am trying to time it so as hopefully my things will arrive approx the same time as i will? Is there anything to say that this cannot be done?

Hi

I asked that of the shipping company I'm using and was told I have to be at the other end when its delivered and show them a passport so they know its me, I'm doing it door to door don't know if this makes a difference.

I shipped stuff door to door via UPS in advance with no problems. It seems the specialised shipping companies need you to be there but as for delivery companies like UPS and Fedex they don't seem to follow that ruling. Under your topic there are several links to other posts about shipping smile.gif
