Hello,
This may be a stupid question, but I want to make sure our bases are covered. My husband's visa doesn't expire until September, though we are married, have received the EAD, AP and have applied for AOS. We are going out of town in August, his original K1 visa expires in September, does this matter at all now because we have AP? Has anyone had any issues coming back on AP? Does he go through the US citizen line with me when we return?
Thanks!

K-1 is a single entry visa, it "Expires" the moment is it is used to enter the USA.
The AP doc allows re-entry from a trip abroad, and typically AP is valid for 1 year from issuance.
Since he is not considered a US Citizen or Resident yet, one would assume he would go through the Visitor's/Immigrants line, US citizen can accompany the visitor/immigrant in the other line, I did when my wife (Fiancee) traveled to the USA on K-1.

It would be fine to travel on the AP even if the K1 is not valid anymore.
