Hi guys, i was confused need your help/advice/enlightenment about it. Received NOA and then after a week received ASC appointment. After a day or two of my ASC appoinment, I tried to check my status online using the receipt number of NOA and it came out:

* Case Status Retrieval Failed
* This Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact the National Customer Service Center.

But when i used the ASC application number in checking my status online, it came out:

Receipt Number: WACXXXXXXXXXX

Application Type: CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Current Status: Case received and pending.

On June 23, 2008, we received this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Instead of NOA receipt number it became the ASC applicant number? I am thinking about my application I-751, why it came out "Application Type:CRI89"? Is this normal?

Your receipt number should not start with ASC. I think you should wait a little bit for the online status to become online. Their speed of getting things online is sometimes really slow.

The ASC number that you are getting the status off is not your application. Just to be on the safe side, you might want to call the 1800 number or moreover, infopass.

Yes, that is all normal. You need to use the ASC number from the biometrics appointment letter to check your case online. good.gif

Yes, everything is correct. CRI89 is I-751.
