I think there is more than one.. I've encountered three possible "posers" thus far but so far the sad thing is none go by the names you are saying.... but the other side of it is they're on my friends list and I keep an eye on them... the one that was "shopping" hasn't been on for a while under that name at least.

I don't know who is a poser and now I worry that I can't trust anyone.

How can you tell if they are a poser????

i would suggest if someone has not been posting on a regular basis and joined in a few conversations off and on to be careful and dont talk to personal to anyone until you have had few conversations back and forth with them, i think u can get a feel for whats right and whats not

I had this "special Friend" PM me too, it was a while back and I just Ignored it!! But it was VERY VERY Creepy!!..I couldn't believe it!!! But I don't accept any men as my friends... But just the fact that he PM was very "DISTURBING"

I hope I'm not considered a poser...I just kind of stumbled upon the MENA forum a while ago and enjoyed your topics of conversation. I liked that there were good topics, lively conversations, a touch of drama, and just a generally good group of women - and you too Charles - you're just bathed in the estrogen. Many of you seem to be going through the same issues that I have been through, so I felt that maybe I could give a little bit of feedback if ever wanted. My husband is a quarter MENA by ancestry...which is like saying Tiger Woods is a black man although he's only 1/6 - six of one, half dozen of the other - same thing.

If I'm not welcome around here I can head off...but I have had a fun time.

That is is so true. I got a PM early this year asking if it was true I was married to my 3rd Moroccan Since I never said this to any one nor is it true, I had to wonder which person that I had befriended on VJ had said such a malicious thing. Made me suspicious of all.

Naw I don't think we took it that way. The ones we really love are the outsiders that show up for a good poo slinging, sling more poo, then disappear. If you are going to sling poo at least stick around for the good stuff as well

I'm another outsider - hope y'all don't mind my hanging around and speaking my mind once in a while... I identify with a lot of the concerns and cultural issues brought up here, none of which get talked about in the S. Asia forum - the questions there are more along the lines of 'how soon does the Chennai embassy give the visa?' and not things that I would really like to know such as 'what to do if your family eats beef and your DH is a devout Hindu?' Most of the couples in S. Asia are both desi or from the same religious background so these cross-cultural/religious issues don't come up like they seem to come up in MENA. Also I think most of the S. Asia posters are male and I need a female perspective most of the time...
