We filed for AOS 11/05, and unfortunately opted not to file for Advance Parole. It looks like we may be in for quite a wait for an AOS interview, and would like to be able to travel abroad soon.
Is it still possible to file for Advance Parole separately?

Yes you can file for AP separately.... just follow the instruction on the USCIS website....

We did this too. We e-filed. We received the AP letter a week before our interview letter arrived. Oh well.
