My husband came on a K-1 Visa and we got married about 1.5 months after he arrived, which was well before the 90 expiration of his Visa. Do we need to file the AOS before the 90 days are up? Or was that just the time limit he had to marry? Is there a time limit to filing the AOS? Thanks for any help you can give..

As long as you got married within thew 90 day period you can file AOS whenever you would like smile.gif

One thing to note. If you file AOS one year after he had his medical you will have to pay for a new medical.

There isn't a time limit on filing for AOS. I don't know if they give it more scrutiny if you wait longer, but there was a post on VJ about a gentleman who had financial issues and didn't file for AOS for 4 years!

I don't know Zee, Essence has an article about making extra money with a home based business in the August issue and I'm thinking Zainab and Zeinab, Inc is kind of catchy!

Thanks for the info. What a relief. The AOS is so costly so I was hoping to have a few more months to file. Thanks again!!!!

I waited several years to adjust my own status but that was way back when. Months is fine but I would not recommend years now rolleyes.gif
