I have filed at VSC and I have seen many people get both their I-130 and I-129F approved at the same time. I was wondering if it was possible to go through with the K-3 and have my wife come back to the US with me while we pursue the I-130 through the NVC and then have her go back to her home country to finish up and get her greencard. Anybody heard of this or have any info. We have waited so long that we want the K-3 but feel like abandoning the I-130 if kind of a waste.

Why would you go back to interview for the CR1/IR1? Once here adjust status. With the cost of airfare going up it would probably be more expensive to go back to interview again. It may be cheaper to file AOS.

Yes you can do that but following the AOS process is the other more common way of not abandoning the approved I-130.

But the process of adjusting status is very time consuming compared to waiting for the I-130 to make its way through the NVC.......right?

The time is roughly equal with the big difference being the trip back to interview again. If you're that set on an immigrant visa, then you can simply abandon the K3 process and push forward with the immigrant visa.
