My husband lives in England and I in America. I'm over in England at the moment visiting and we're getting all our paperwork around to apply for his visa. We have been having trouble finding a sponsor as I'm not working at the moment and my mom is on SS and doesn't make enough, nor does my sister. That's all the family I have and don't have many friends, those I do have don't make enough either. So I asked my ex-husband, he has tenatively agreed but is researching what it all entails before he makes up his mind for sure.

His main concern is it having financial reprocussions on his family, which I can understand, even tho he knows we'd never stick him with anything. Now, my question is this...my husband said somewhere (and he can't remember where) he seen a clause or rider contract that he can sign releasing the sponsor of any financial responsibilities. My ex said he was interested in seeing this form or website, but the poblem is that my husband can't find it again. I've been searching as well with no luck.

Does anyone on here know where to point us for this form? A website link, form name or anything like that? We'd be ever so grateful! Thanks so much.

Since you posted this to the K-3 forum I will assume you are doing that visa, your timeline and profile lacks these details.

K-3 uses I-134, which is considered to be a non binding affidavit, your co-sponsor is only providing support from time of entry, until applying for adjustment of status, and at that time You may be able to fully sponsor.

Another option that K-3 can exercise is:

Beneficiary can provide their own funds as long as they can demonstrate how they will transfer them to the USA. So could be their own co-sponsor.

Once the K-3 arrives in the USA, you could apply for EAD BEFORE fining for AOS, and once the K-3 receives EAD could then take a job. At this time file AOS You would be primary sponsor (I-864) and your husband (K-3) holder would provide an I-864A as member of household, and add his income to yours to in part self sponsor.
