Hello all,

Just wondering if there is anyone out there in similar situation. A friend of mine has applied and is in the process of getting his I-130 approved. In the mean time his company (American multinational) have offered to transfer him to the US with a L1B visa. Is this a good option? Also is there any other temp work visa that he could use to enter US and then apply for AOS?

Any ideas?

L1 is dual intent and you should have no problem with L1. One can legitimately come to the United States for a temporary period as an L-1 nonimmigrant, at the same time, lawfully seek to become a permanent resident of the United States.

I believe they are a few people on VJ who have asked about adjusting status from L1, do a search, you may find them and PM them for more info.
