Hi

I am getting ready to send DS230 and needed documents to nvc for immigrant visa for my father and I need to send my birth certificate and marriage certificate. I have 2 questions?

1: My fathers case is not marriage based, Do I still have to send them the original marriage certificate.
2: If I send the original Birth certificate and marriage certificate whats the chance of them losing it. ( Im really worried, and don't undrestand NVC'S POLICY)

If you will send the orignal documents then nvc will send bact it to u.
And use the tracking courier service then you will come to know that they have gotten ur documents or not..

You have to send the NVC the original documents they're requesting or certified copies. They won't accept regular photocopies.

Also, the NVC will forward all of those documents to the embassy but you won't get them back.
