Honestly TBT ask a question that some others where probably wondering themselves. Some people might of not liked the question. We all have different personality and different ways of going about things. Some more direct than others.

The thing is that Leedah answered the question ( she was the only one the question was asked of ) She also stated how she felt about the question. I hope that we can all be satisfied with that.

Omoha reply was just trying to be helpful because she didn't want any issues with Dakar. I personally will be going thru Dakar and anyone sees me heading for a potential pot hole ....please holler.

Leedah I hope that you find a way to get your me time in Ghana. I understand about going home not being a vacation. When I go home to Nigeria its whirl wind of non- stop Hey look at me look at me.

TBT... You are funny at times and sometimes out right gross .... No one can take your sense of humor away from you. No one is trying to take away your voice or to necessarily censor you, but how you reacted to the OP was not respectful of her and her personal business.

Yes Assumptions do at times fly all over the place...That's the way of the world...it does not make it right, however.

Just to explain to you why people are making assumptions about you NOT being new around here and your intentions:

1. No one knows anything about you. You don't have a signature, a story, a time line, etc.... You don't talk about your SO

2. You only joined VJ a month ago today any you are great at maneuvering the system (might need to PM you for pointers )

3. You only joined VJ a month ago today any you are aware about ancient posts and seem very familiar with the stories and backgrounds of everyone else here, for a newbie.

4. You only joined VJ a month ago today any you are VERY comfortable with being an instigator (although funny at times... you know the whole thing...classic!) and confrontational

5. The name "Truth Be Told"...Hmmmmm.... Do you have something on your chest that you want to say, that you couldn't say under a different name? --This is what people are thinking...


These are just a few of the more obvious reasons why people assume you are not new around here and question your true intentions. If those assumptions are wrong...its very unfortunate and I apologize for how you might feel as a result.

Anyone can respect this rule. But if you as a rule don't post anything personal about yourself...perhaps for personal reasons, why would you try to pry into other people's personal business, disregarding their privacy... ....regardless if in the past they have divulged something personal about themselves? It just doesn't make sense.

No one is trying to attack you "gang/clique" style...they are all individual opinions that happen to be in-line.

On the boards, a troll is a person who isn't really a member interested in the services or mission of the boards, but rathers cruises through to cause trouble. They usually aren't even on an immigration journey, they just find it amusing somehow to come on the board and joke around and even mock other people. They are called trolls.

I'm not sure if you knew that or not, in terms of the use of the word here. I guess other message boards use it also, but I don't participate in many message boards, so I learned it here.

You dont have to justify anything to anyone. I think you are familiar with my motto "UNO dont give a phuq" and I adopted that mantra for reasons just like this. You asked a question, not pertaining to your personal situation and you had simplistic expectations of the results. I am sorry someone felt the need to dig into your background and "follow" your story. My opinion, if you wanted to update people, you would have...with out provocation. Do not allow one rotten apple to spoil your pie. Keep your head up and keep doing you.

My rule about not posting about myself, like I said I have lurked here a while I knew the Lions den that I was coming into, and I knew it was only a matter of time before this happened. People in this forum are not allowed to be free thinkers. It realy is a shame. There are a lot of people who have things to say in this forum but they know what will happen to them.

I asked the questions I got my answers. If I feel the need to ask questions again I will.

Oh and I did not react to the OP, actualy you all reacted to me. Which is also interesting to me, how you all fiegn to not like the drama around this forum, but you love to participate and perpetuate. I guess you all were bored. It has been pretty calm around here since you have managed to run off anyone who does not agree with your Sub Saharan Utopian society. I guess things will calm down for you, until Idocare comes back, or God forbid I ask some more questions....or another "newbie" who did not lurk before the leapt rubs you all the wrong way, by being themselves.
