Well I opened the mail today to find an RFE for our AOS (485).
It shows box "F" as being checked wanting more info for household income meeting or exceeding the poverty guideline.
I'm going to assume this is because we didn't file 2005 tax returns and W2's with our application.
The reason for that being that my husbands' taxes were not complete yet.

But I also notice how it says I am not eligible for an interim EAD until "90 days after the missing initial evidence is received"
I am sending back this RFE tomorrow with copies of the W2's and tax returns for 2005.
I am still going to make and INFOPASS for my 91st day from my original NOA.

Edit: Just got off the phone with USCIS and was told if I turn around the FRE quickly there's a good chance it won't affect my timeline. She also confirmed they are looking for the 2005 return info.

By the way, my case status online was NOT updated for thie FRE nor did I ever receive an email. So, just and FYI.

I'm going to mail this bad boy our today!
Fingers crossed, I have an employer waiting for give me a job!

Most RFEs once returned do not slow the process down but a day or two. Since you are so well prepared you should be back on the fast track. Good luck and hope it is worked out soon so you can start that job!

Wow, rereading this post I notice all the spelling mistakes. My nerves have taken a serious hit on this.
Apologies for the errors.

Off I go to the post office.

I want everyone's opinion here, I'm trying to stay positive about this holding up my EAD.

I have lunch with my employer who is waiting for me to get my EAD before I start. The job is in my field of study and my career path.
Do you think it would be advantageous of my employer to contact our Senator or Congressperson on my behalf to request expediency? I know a lot of folks say it will make no difference, but there have been people on these boards where it has made a difference.

I'm also going to make an Infopass on my original 91st day and take my employer letter and job offer with me and pray I get someone who is nice.
If I go back to 0 days I think I'm going to cry. The money runs out at the 90 day mark!!!

Thoughts? I'm going through Boston, has anyone had experiences with them?

I am going to say that trying things cant really hurt - the worst they can do is say "No".

I am also going through Boston and coming to the end of my 90 days and havent heard anything so I would love to hear how you get on with your infopass and/or senator either by a post or private message

Good luck!

Has anyone here received an RFE, responded quickly, and actually still received their EAD within the 90 day timeframe???
That's what I really want- is to still have my EAD on time.

Has anyone gotten an RFE, responded, and still received their EAD on time??
Thank you for your replies.
Jenn!
Yes, there are people who have gotten their EAD within the 90 days even after an EAD. But from what I observed, it seems to depend on whether biometrics were done before the RFE. My husband had biometrics before we received the RFE. Still no EAD.

We're going for an infopass to try to get an interim tomorrow morning (in Boston). I'll be sure to post about how it goes.

I'm a little nervous because of the clause on the RFE letter that says you can't apply for an interim until 90 days after the receipt of the RFE response. Wish us luck!
