crying.gif It's not fair.... I know certain people advise I should have expected longer wait then everyone because of where my husband is from, but why…. Just because my spouse is not from Iceland whistling.gif I can't understand why more delays and why does it have to be this way....I am usually a positive person and tend not to complain or voice my feelings in this matter...But how is it that couples that got their DS-230 entered a week after we did into the NVC system have gotten a "Case Complete" already but we can't even get a straight answer from NVC in the process of our Documents. Not even if we have a RFE, all they say is “we are still reviewing them”. What does it really mean? I know, I know I might be complaining and it only been 15 days, and I am sorry if I am complaining. Just I been patiently waiting and being happy for others, but I feel frustrated and disappointed in the system. I would have wished to get an interview date in August, now who knows when... I pray INSHALLAH our "case complete" comes soon! Ok I think I feel a bit better now whistling.gif

Is there anyone that went through the DS-230 Entered to "Case Complete" phase 15 days or longer? And if so did you get an RFE while waiting after the 15th day? And perhaps from which country would be helpful as well, just for my peace of mind unsure.gif

I really welcome any positive thoughts!

Let me tell you my story...I waited 37 days after they received all my documents to get a case complete...and my husband is from Jamaica...first after a week pass with no case complete i called NVC and asked what was going on...she said the same line you heard..."still reviewing"...2nd week an NVC operator told me that she put a note in my file for a supervisor to review...3rd week the AVR changed to RFE...WTH...called them...NVC made a mistake and said that they requested my birth certificate and marriage certificate...i'm the petitioner......she said she will put in another note for a supervisor to review and to forget the RFE message and that the next message will be a case complete...4th week...AVR changed to received checklist...I'm like no way...I did not send in a checklist and it was NVC mistake...called again on the 5th week...made a huge uproar spoke to a supervisor told her it was NVC mistake and I did not send in a checklist so why should i wait even longer for a case complete...next day received a case complete...This journey is so unpredictable...some gets lucky some don't....all you can do is really wait...sucks i know... crying.gif crying.gif ...now i'm waiting for an interview and that might a 4-5 month wait...

No, it would not have anything to do with the coversheet. When they say the checklist is entered into the system, it means that they received the response to an RFE. That is what they call the response for the RFE, A checklist.

Hi Nita dear, don't be in despair. We may have faster process from NVC ahead of you but unfortunately our case completed last June 19th and it's already 9th of July but until now THERE IS NO INTERVIEW DATE FOR US. mad.gif NVC said they will schedule it on the 2nd week of July. Hopefully we can still catch up August interview. This waiting game really sucks!

Let me tell you what me and my wife went through. The NVC LOST my I-864, wich they told me I never sent in. This I found out 6 months later! Yep 6 months later. Then my file sat for 6 weeks "lost" in a mail bin. The NVC sent me the wrong outdated instruction sheet that I followed. Wich was wrong! So I sent in the wrong information. Another two months later they finaly tell me I dont have the right documents. I send in the correct documents and it takes them one month just to enter into the system. It takes another month to enter more evidence (2 visa pics). The case was finaly complete in February 28 2007. Guess what? Got delayed on the medical. My wife finaly has an interview tommorow. Thats right July 10 2008 she has an interview and we have been married since January 2007. So learn some patients or you will NEVER get through this process its far from o good.gif ver. Good luck to you
