How long does it take once DOS says the security checks are finished to arriving at the Embassy?

If you have called DOS and they have said all the security checks are complete it should be a matter of days for the embassy to receive this information.

The embassy was unhelpful (as always). I called DOS again and asked for a timeline and the very rude lady told me I should not have been told this information at all and that it could be a few months.

Customer service is non existant at DOS NVC USCIS and the Embassy! Dont worry about that. My fiance's security checks look like they were finished last week....I called on thursday and they said they would contact him that day...they didn't contact him till yesterday.

We called the embassy...(and I spoke to the really rude lady again) and fought for a earlier interview than what was originally given to us.

Our interview is this Thursday! Pray for us!

Usually by the time DOS has the information, the Embassy already has it. It should be a matter of days before they contact you.

Congratulations, and don't worry about the rude operator, it is hit or miss who you get to talk to there.
