Does anyone know what it costs to ship Balikbayan boxes from PI to tha U.S. I want my wife to ship most of her stuff here.
RussellandMarie
the post office is always and will be the most economical way to ship a package however theft can be a problem here..so send it registered just to be sure..the safest and most secure way to send a package is still via FedEx,UPS,DHL or LBC though..

as for the cost heres a link from UPS so you can estimate the shipping charges...

Last time I sent a balokbayan box of her stuff to my sister was last year, I paid $200 or P10,000 cuz that time exchange rate was P48...sent it thru DHL.

well actually manila forwarders is only good if you are relocating to LA (thats Los Angeles) coz thats where your boxes will be shipped to, after that its up to you to get your things to your final destination which i found odd and completely insane!

not really. they ship anywhere in US. i'm actually waiting for manila forwarders to pick-up my stuff. i just have to pay $20 pick-up fee coz i live far from manila. from LA they will ship the box through fedex to which state you live.

that is what they told me too. in my case, we don't need to pay for pick-up fee because their office is just walking distance away from our house biggrin.gif

haaaayyyy sis. lucky you. i'm from san pedro kasi kaya they have to wait for someone from the south din na papa-pick-up para isabay sa akin. ayoko naman dalhin yung stuff ko from laguna to manila. mabigat kasi. i'd rather pay the $20 fee, di ba?

we're hoping they are safe biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif they're like fedex, dhl, etc. you can track your stuff online naman. i went to fedex also before i decided to send my stuff through manila forwarders. they want to charge me 21k for 30 kg lang. unlike manila forwarders wherein you have to put all your stuff in their jumbo box and it's just the same price regardless of how heavy it is. they'll also deliver it straight to your home in US.

i'm not sure if they ship electronics. Pink is sending her wedding gifts eh. yung mga babasagin pinayagan naman. they don't accept food and any liquids (lotion, shampoo, conditioner, perfume, etc). any cds and dvds eh may limit sila.
