A K-3 petition will expire on its own after a period of inactivity.
Thanks fwaguy
That means, if somebody filed I-129F for K-3 visa and waiting for K-3 visa still. Suppose inactive period is 1 year, so will it be cancelled automatically and he/she won't get K-3 visa ??? Will USCIS refund the fee if they cancel it due to inactivity ? Just a thought

Funny guy. A K3 visa cannot be granted after your I-130 has reached the Consulate abroad and certainly not when you are already in the US with a CR1. Informing USCIS would be a courtesy to others in the process, so no more time will be spent on your case but there is no actual need to do anything about the petition or consequence to you for not withdrawing it.
That makes more sense, pushbrk

So, I'll mail it in certified mail (not snail mail), so that no USCIS employee will work on this stupid I-129F case and "hopefully" that extra manpower can be used to process all my friends' cases in VJ

, yes, I'll mail it today.
In your case, don't do it right now. Only after getting CR1 on hand, do it.
