I am having a little problem understanding a section on the I-864 form. My wife and I are using a sponsor ( her mom). I am really not clear about the calculation of the “household size” . The info below is the current data on the form:

(this person is her current husband…she filed for him a few years ago)


The form said we should add all the boxes….. so we did…and got 6.

The question is….should we add her husband (part f) and myself ( part a)?

Based solely on the information in your post - the total should be 5. (Your mother, her husband, 2 Dependant children and the beneficiary.)

(Her spouse should not be counted twice.)
