Send them what they are requesting....
They may have already sent back your petition unfortunately, I would get in contact with the embassy.

You should call DOS immediately to see if they sent it back - number is 1-202-663-1225 dial 1 then 0. Contact the embassy and and quickly submit what they ask of you!

my is k3 do. i called embassy they only tell every time that just submit my papers. my papers are ready . just delaying because on cosponser. do u think they will send back K3
When they told u you needed more papers /informatin did they give u a deadline to have it in by a certain time? They can hold it open IF they choose to but you must do what they ask as quick as possible. If after a certain amount of time you dont return im sure they will then think you have no intent to comply and will send it back

I think you are talking about the expiration of the NOA2.
In that case, the consulate will automatically extend the validity of it. Since they are giving you a year to return the requested documents they will not return your case until then.
Get those documents to them as soon as possible.

ok but hurry to do these things for them, for now send a email just to verify that you know it will expire and ask for information but tell them you will have your information asap...

without wasting time call the consular or email about ur situation request extention
He doesn't have to request the extention, ZeeNusah is right. . .the NOA2 expires that date not the eligibility for the visa, once he has interviewed. If the consulate requests further evidence, it is now in their hands, he has the full of the one year to get the new documents (I would advise him not to take the full year, but that is just me.)
The difference is, if he takes that long he will have to update the other documents with an expiration (i.e. police certs/medical exam)
