I'm going to keep mine out just in case.
I'll be in a uhaul so I'll just keep it in the cab part with me.
You are flying hon so...You can roll it up and then once you are through customs just pack it in your carry on.

I took mine in my hand luggage - it folded up ok and wasn't heavy so figured why not. I wasn't asked for it but I figured if I didn't put it in my hand luggage then you could bet they would want to see it

The POE is not equipped with medical personnel (radiologist) who can read and or interpret an x-ray. Save and use your carry on space for something important

I rolled mine and stored it in a case like below, and hand-carried it with me:

I had mine in my carry-on bag with all the rest of my immigration stuff.
If you decide to take it with you in carryon luggage, make sure you roll it up and put it in a cardboard or plastic tube for protection. Folding it causes creases that make the x-ray unreadable if it is needed in the future (some people have had to use it once in the US, so do protect it).

I don't think they asked for it at Nicky's POE in Dublin.

This is what most people over-look. No one at POE can interpret the x-ray! The results of the x-ray are in the brown envelope, made all simple for the IOs to understand.
I only know of ONE person who has been asked for their x-ray, ONE, in all the thousand who are members here. And that was over 18 months ago.

Ahh - but I did it for my sanity - it didn't take up that much space, wasn't heavy and I just KNEW I would worry about it otherwise

your right but people got small luggage can hand carry them.... and it doesn't mean immigration officers have to look at it i never heard any said its being ask.... why we needed to bring xray with us, it is for EAD or AOS but some doesn't ask them it will only depends what is being asked.

As I flew from the UK and was only allowed a pathetically small carry on bag, I packed my X-Ray in my checked luggage and didn't have any issues. My hand luggage was already bulging full with all my immigration paperwork anyway, and I wouldn't have been allowed a storage tube for it on the plane with any other hand luggage. So far as I was aware, the X-Ray is pretty useless anyway after it's given back to you and is only of use to give to your new doctor in the USA for comparison purposes in the future should you want to.

I packed my x-ray film in my checked luggage. I was so sure that US Immigration in my POE-PDX (Portland) wont bother to look at it.

Sorry, but it is not necessary to bring it with you. It is just a baseless rumor that they may ask for it. Do not waste valuable space in your luggage.
