I found this site in 2004 when a long lost novia returned to me. It was a whirl wind return and we decided to marry but in the end she went back to her crooked Mexican cop of an Xboyfriend.
I had all the papers and check and everything ready to send off when she called me and broke the news. I was heartbroken but only for a little while. Good thing she told me BEFORE I sent the check.
I was fortunate that she flaked out on me because if we had gotten married I would never had taken my first trip to The Philippines and met my Sweetie.
So I was a bit prepared and knew what direction to go considering slight differences of procedures between a Mexican and Filipina Financée but because I my last experience I have been on edge and waiting for things to flop out but my Sweetie has yet to let me down in any way.
Gracias Veronica, me dejaste bien jodido pero graicas a dios encontre la amor de mi vida de la verdad.
Thank you all for your help and guidence provided on VJ

Through research for immigrations process online
When I first seen this site I thought that it was only for "Russian" couples going through the process and didn't bother to sign in when I first found it 5 years ago

Ricky, my fiance found VJ january of this year when we started shifting our focus from getting married here in the philippines to considering the K1 option... he might have googled or yahooed it and found the guides here on VJ and he shared the links to the guides to me.
I was the one who found the forum part of VJ and got hooked. fiance never posted here and is only content to read parts that i force him to read.
Well, if not for VJ we would have been lost in the process.

Through Yahoo search (and Google probably) - "Fiancee Visa Application" as key words. I have been a member here even before I met David (non-active, just reading). I was just looking around and fascinated by other Filipinas stories. I never thought that I will be part of this, in a way that I will be applying for my own visa. When I finally met David and have decided to file a petition for me, he was going to hire an immigration lawyer. I told him he didn't have to because I knew exactly what to do. After we filed, I signed up for a new ID and became an active member since them. We owe our success to VJ (all the helps, guides, tips and advices that we got from here) plus our hardwork and patience. And the good thing about being part of this community is meeting friends along the way that somehow became part of my life.

And of course, making our reunion (David and I) faster than we both anticipated. Love it ever since and will do for the rest of my days.

I was googling AOS requirements/process long time ago and stumbled across this site.
Pretty much I was a non-active member, but did plenty of reading.OMG I've spent hours on this site and have learned so much.
I finally decided to register and participate on the forum. The place is a gold mine when it comes to
information + the search feature is a handy lil tool.
