Hello All!!!
We have out interview date! August 7! I am prpearing my I-134 for the interview and need to know about the tax return. Do I need to get something from the IRS, a copy of my return filed with them, or is a copy printed from the e-file service I used good enough? Doe it have to be notorized or any other fancy thing?
For th e I-134 I am bringing the support form, my recent check stubs showing income "year to date", letter from employer and last years tax return. Is this enough? Do I need a bank statement also? If so, must I get a special letter from the bank, or are copies of my monthly statements enough, or do I need it at all?
My 2007 tax return shows an income barely over the amount needed (I was self employed nearly all of that year and "wrote off " most of the income) but it DOES exceed the guideline, but not by much. My current income is documented WAY over the necessary amount. Good enough? I am using the "family of four" guideline even though one of her sons will not be coming right away and will not get his K-2 visa at this time. Will they say we are a family of 4 or a family of 3? He is listed on the K-1 visa as planning to "follow" her here at a later time. I am covered either way, but just wondered.
Thanks
Gary
