Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers. Kweku and Kofi had their interview. The CO said everything looked fine but thet have to redo their medicals since the old ones are set to expire in 3 weeks. Kweku also has to get another police report, because they are valid for only six months. So we've been rescheduled (again). It sucks (again), but Im not surprised (again). But thanks again for all the well wishes

Sorry to hear of the delays on the medical and police reports. Can he just return them once they are completed and then they will the visas? I know this has been such a long journey and was praying that you would have the visas in hand this week. Hang in there and always remember all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Is this similar to the replies that they've given you before, or is this progress? It sounds like you are approved so long as the new medicals are good. Can he just have them done next week and return them to the embassy immediately?
Are they ok with his son now?

well those are all possibilities, but the embassy actually scheduled another date for august. We wont actually know when the medicals have arrived at the Embassy, so it would be hard to have them done and then just go back to there. Kweku doesnt actually get to see any of that paperwork. Also, you have to show an appointment letter to even get in the door at the Embassy. i dont know how successful Kweku would be getting in without having an appointment letter...
any folks have some thoughts on this?? i know some people had to bring back documents and then were approved. how did they get in without appointment letters?

August!?! Are you serious?!
For Re, they gave him a paper that said come back with these documents. I think it also had the date on it as well though. Aubrey might know since her fiance was just waiting for his medical as well.
To know when the medical information arrives at the embassy, just dash the medical people something, or else be really nice, so that they will tell you when they have sent it. Re didn't dash them anything (I don't think), but he was as friendly, respectful and laid on the compliments. Then when he went back a little while later to check if they had sent it, they were very nice and told him they had sent it right away.

Thanks Kanyiri..
Well I talked to kweku this morning and he told me that he got the usual white paper, although it doesnt say 221g on it. the things checked off were re-do medical and get another police report. the CO told Kweku that they had finished their investigation of all our documents, but that the "report" hadnt been uploaded into the system and that was also another reason for the delay and future appointment date.
Kweku and I made friends with the folks at Holy Trinity and Kweku even did some work for the doctor that examined him, so knowing when the medicals leave the clinic isn't the problem...the issue as i see it is getting back into the embassy because he has a paper with an august date on it....

Really, All4 this sounds like Some progress even if it does go to August. Our appt dates are getting longer and longer in between.
Watson has yet to be contacted about a DNA test. His next appt is July 18. I wonder if he's ever coming.
Peggy.
August?
Damn that ain't right.

That's absolutely awful.. My heart and prayers are really with you.. you are so strong, I don't know how you do it.
Unfortunantly, from our experience I could not tell you how to get in without a appointment or sooner because we diid have an appointment... why ours was a week and yours is three months, though, god only knows..
Also, we did not have the medical sent in the end, Awal hand delivered it himself. He had to pay to get a copy of the Xray from Holy Trinity and then bring it to Akai and pay again to get another copy of the other results. But at least he was in control of where they ended up.
I really hope that everything works out for you. I know it will, but the waiting time is terrible.
