I just can't find it or a bit lazy to search. tongue.gif

On a k1 visa arriving the US, at what point we could work? Is there such thing as temporary work permit? Am trying to make a time frame when to schedule my US licensure exam and english tests as each state varies with their requirements.

Thank you. smile.gif

Hi There

If you enter via JFK you may get a temporary stamp with is valid for 90 days, then apply for ead, however if the temporary stamp expires before you may have to stop working till you recieve your ead.

As Sal stated you can come through JFK and get the temp 90 day stamp. I *think* you would have to ask...I think I remember reading that somewhere. Also, just for clarity (for other new ones on this forum) you have to be married before filing anything. AOS/EAD/AP are included in one when you file...$1010 I believe is the cost now. EAD's take around 90 days to process and become approved and are good for one year.
